Looking Forward: Fall 2015

Fall 2015 will be upon us in just a few days. Even though summer is my favorite of the seasons, fall still has a special charm that I can't resist, for a number of reasons. In honor of the upcoming season, here is a list of things I'm looking forward to this fall:

1. Festivals. Sure, there are lot of festivals year-round, but Fall seems to have the best ones. For the next month or so, I have at least one festival, sometimes more, on my calendar every weekend. The Huntington, WV area really likes to celebrate during this time of year, and I am most looking forward to Greek Fest, the Huntington Arts and Music Festival, and, of course the Pumpkin Festival!

2. Fashion. Fashion is important year-round, folks, but fall fashion really has it going on. My scarf, tights, and boot collections have been longing for the weather to cool down so that they could once again be put to good use. I'm certainly excited to help them live out their life's purpose.

3. Color Schemes. Although the oranges, yellows, reds, and browns associated with fall are really just signs of death (sorry, lush greenery - see ya next year), they still look nice. The juxtaposition of those warm colors and the chilly weather is just lovely. I love my drive to work - or anywhere for that matter - during the fall because of the beauty these colors bring to the area.

4. Halloween. Halloween is without a doubt my favorite holiday of the year! Everything about it is amazing: the candy, parties, decorations, dressing up...I could go on. Tadd and I throw a Halloween party every year, and it's always a wonderful time. As soon as Halloween is over, I start planning next year's costume, even though I will change my mind 1,000 times during that span. In true Niki fashion, I'm still deliberating on this year's costume, but I've narrowed it down to two options. Stay tuned.

With so much to do, see, and wear, I'm extremely excited for all that Fall 2015 has to offer. What are you looking forward to this fall, Hipsters?
